Without spending your wedding posing for them.
You can care massively about your wedding photographs without wanting your whole day to feel like a photoshoot.
I'll give you direction when it'll make a photograph better, then get out of the way and let you enjoy yourselves.
That's basically why I work the way I do.
HATE HAVING YOUR PHOTO TAKEN?

You're in good company 😂
Loads of my couples tell me they hate having their photo taken. Honestly, that's completely normal.
I'll give you a bit of direction, move you into good light and tell you where to stand if it'll help, but I'm never leaving you there wondering what the hell you're meant to do 😂
Then I'll back off and let you be yourselves.

Harry and I keep reflecting on the day and how you really calmed our nerves and managed to get the most natural but gorgeous shots of us. We were both tearful

The big moments. The daft ones. And everything in between.
THE WAY IT ACTUALLY FELT
MORE THAN JUST THE BLOKE WITH THE CAMERA
“THE BRIDESMAID YOU NEVER KNEW YOU NEEDED”
Obviously I'm there to take amazing photographs. But somewhere along the way I normally end up fixing buttonholes, fluffing dresses, finding missing people, calming nerves and generally getting stuck in wherever I'm needed 😂
A bride once called me “the bridesmaid I never knew I needed” and honestly, that's still one of the nicest things anyone's ever said about me.
"What we got, though, was so much more than just a photographer.
Leighton has an incredible eye for capturing amazing shots, but what really stood out to us was how involved he was throughout the whole wedding day. He genuinely felt like part of the day rather than someone who was simply there to take photos, and we’re so grateful for that.
Not only is he incredibly talented at what he does, but he’s also genuinely great to have around on such an important day."

WANT TO SEE WHAT IT’S ACTUALLY LIKE?
This was filmed on a 360 camera attached to my camera during real weddings, so you can literally see how I work.
How much direction I give, how little time I actually steal you away for, and probably how much of an idiot I make of myself to get the shot 😂
Think I might be your guy?
You’ve seen how I work, what’s included and what it costs.
If it all feels like you, there’s really only one thing left to find out 😂
PRE Wedding

SO IT DOESN'T FEEL WEIRD ON THE WEDDING DAY

If the thought of having your photo taken makes you feel a bit weird, this is exactly why I include a pre-wedding shoot 😂
"From the moment we met you at our pre-wedding photoshoot, you instantly made us feel at ease, two little awkward peas in a pod who don’t do well being centre of attention or being photographed!"

We’ll meet up somewhere local, have a wander and take some photos. Nothing serious, nothing awkward. It gives you a chance to see how I work, realise you absolutely can do this, and it means that when the wedding comes around, I’m already a familiar face rather than some random bloke turning up with two cameras 😂

YOU'RE GOING TO CARE ABOUT THESE PHOTOS FOR A VERY LONG TIME
I want the photos to feel like your wedding, not just a collection of nice portraits of the two of you.
The big stuff, obviously, but also your mam crying when she thinks nobody's looking, your mates being idiots, your dad absolutely giving it large on the dance floor 😂, the hugs, the chaos and all the little things happening around you that you didn't even know I'd photographed.
Because once it's all over, this is the bit you get to keep.

“Looking back through our photos has been such a powerful, emotional experience.
Each image is more than just a picture, it’s a memory we get to keep forever. You captured the soul of our day so perfectly.”
Catherine & Michael

You don't need to worry about me...
There are enough things to think about on a wedding day. Your photographer shouldn't be another one of them.
I've been photographing weddings since 2012, so if the timings go sideways, the weather changes its mind, or we suddenly get five minutes of ridiculous light, you don't need to work out what to do.
That's my job.
I'll keep an eye on the light, the timings and everything happening around you, step in when you need me and disappear into the background when you don't.
You enjoy your wedding.
I'll worry about the photographs.
"On the day, he fit straight in as one of us, guided us throughout, and shot from the background when that was appropriate too.
Leighton clearly knows EXACTLY what he is doing. The ease at which he guided us through our day, finding opportunities and capturing natural ones was incredible."

You get to relive it
While you're still in it.
There’s something lovely about the morning after your wedding.
You wake up, your phone’s full of messages, there are probably bits of confetti still in places they shouldn’t be 😂 and you’re trying to take in everything that happened the day before.
And then your photos arrive.
I send you a collection of sneak peeks the very next morning, while everything is still fresh and you’re still absolutely buzzing from it all.
So by the time you’re heading down for breakfast, you’ve already got photographs to show everyone, send to the group chat and relive all the bits from the day before.
You get to relive it while you’re still in it.
“We woke up the next morning to 20 photos at 8am — after he’d been with us until late and had a three-hour journey home! It defies physics!”
NATURAL DOESN'T HAVE TO MEAN BORING.
AND BEAUTIFUL DOESN'T HAVE TO MEAN STAGED.

Because as relaxed as I am about how we get them, I care massively about the photographs themselves.
The big moments, the little stuff happening around you, the people you love
and a few gorgeous ones of the two of you too 😂
Sounding like your kind of wedding?
You don't need to have everything figured out yet.
Just tell me your date, your venue if you've got one, and a little bit about what you're planning. I'll let you know if I'm free and we'll go from there.
I photograph around 35 weddings each year.
Enough to spend most of my weekends doing what I love, but not so many that your wedding ever feels like just another one in the diary.
